The Heart Behind the Pen
I wasn't a great student at school — always daydreaming, always somewhere else in my head. It took me a long time to find my way to books, but once I did, I fell completely. These days, some of my favourite hours are spent lost in a world of fantasy, whether that's reading aloud to my two children or curling up with a novel of my own.
By day, I work as a Clinical Project Manager. By night — and in whatever hours I can steal in between — I write. Two very different kinds of stories, as it turns out: gentle, giggly adventures for my children, and something considerably darker for the rest of us.
I suppose the daydreamer never really left. She just found somewhere better to put it all.
Late nights, new toys, and then time for the day job!
